Shop till it drop on you?!

i knew it is not funny, but today, while having my breakfast and reading the newspaper, something caught my attention, SHOPAHOLIC KILLED BY CONSUMER GOOD, what? i nearly choke on my tea! after further reading it kinda sad and funny at the same time, so the story is like this,

SHOPAHOLIC Joan Cunnane was crushed to death under a MOUNTAIN of consumer goodies hoarded in her home.

The devout Catholic, 77, crammed tons of items into the house after pursuing a 16-year addiction to high street shopping.

Grey haired Joan went to Mass religiously every week but away from church she became one of Britain’s oldest shopaholics.

Despite buying thousands of pounds worth of goods, Joan did not open many of them - and hoarded the items instead neatly around her £180,000 bungalow.

Joan’s home was so stuffed with brand new consumer valuables she had to make a two foot wide path round her house to get about.

Yet she kept the property in Heaton Mersey, near Stockport, tidy and everything was neatly put in order.

Tragedy struck on Boxing Day night when Joan a retired BT operator went into a back bedroom and a collection of suitcases piled to the ceiling fell on top of her.

She was buried alive.

But the house was so crammed with stuff cops issued a MISSING PERSONS appeal as they sent in a sniffer dog to find her.

An expert search team and environmental health officers were also called in to help after the sniffer dog did not find anything.

The search took almost TWO DAYS before the pensioner was found buried under three feet of suitcases.

Her red Rover Metro car was also packed to the brim with consumer goods including candles, umbrellas and coats.

Today her best mate Roy Moran, 77, said: “She was an only child, and had never married.

“I think it just gave her pleasure to buy things, none of it was really essential. I once asked her how many scarves she had.

”She said, she thought about 300. I asked her why she needed that many. She said, they were all different colours. She brought everything - lots of clothes.

it so strange isnt it? how can sameone buying stuff and never open it for so many item and so many years? imagine ? i cant. world are full of strange people.........including me!
